Chicken Pox disease is spreading widely in my school. 60% of the students
are getting it. New ones every day. I am just waiting for my turn. So,
as I’m still healthy and spots free… I’ll just write something
about this okay? Wait,
I wanted to make this a parody fic, let’s see what it turns out to be,
ok minna-san? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kurama
blinked. He felt miserable. What was wrong with him today? He felt very cold and was sweating all over. His body started
to get itchy everywhere. He
went over to the sensei and interrupted him. The whole class seemed to be
showering with whispers. “Sumimasen sensei,” he uttered. The
sensei looked at his favourite student oddly. “Dooshite no, Minamino-kun?”
he asked, lowering his thick glasses, eyeing Kurama closely. “Can
I be excused? I feel very bad,” he uttered. The sensei looked at him.
Minamino’s lips were shivering and turning blue! “Ano, I think you
should go to the school clinic and see what’s wrong,” suggested the
sensei. Kurama nodded. But as soon as he took the next step, he fell. Everyone
rushed over to ‘help’ Minamino Shuuichi. The girls especially were
more than willing to carry him. Two on the left leg, two on the right leg,
two on the right hand and two on the left. one was supporting his head,
three were busy supporting his body. Well, he was sure lighter than he
looks. Kurama
opened his eyes. A ‘lot’ of girls stood up and asked if he was okay.
Kurama smiled. “Hai, daijobu da yo. Doumo minna-san,” he thanked them.
Most of the girls nearly fainted as their idol thanked them. Kurama sighed
internally. :… Girls …: he thought miserably. “Minamino-kun,
I phoned your mother. She should be here in a moment,” said the nurse,
bringing him a glass of water. Everyone helped Kurama to sit up. After
drinking the glass of water, a girl took the empty glass away. The nurse
came back with a thermometer in her hand and stuffed it in Kurama’s
mouth. After
a few moments, she took it out and wriggled it before eyeing the results.
She frowned at the thermometer. “You’re hot. Very hot,” she said
shaking her head and went away. The
other girls agreed. “Hai Minamino-san. You’re very ‘hot’,” said
one of the girl. Another girl slapped her head and sighed. “Behave
yourself in front of Minamino-san,” she told her dryly. An
older nurse came in with the earlier one. She had a stern face and headed
straight for Kurama. He held his breath, wondering what is this woman
going to do with him. She
reached for his uniform and began unbuttoning the buttons. Kurama
reached up to stop her. Cold sweats were on his forehead. The girls were
waiting for the nurse to unbutton his uniform all the way but the nurse
nodded at Kurama. “Girls, aren’t you ashamed of yourself? A guy wants
to open his clothes and you all are sitting here, eyeing him,” she told
them. The girls blushed at themselves and went out. The
older nurse opened his clothes and Kurama was only dressed in his pants.
She turned him around and checked his body all over. She smiled at him.
“Boy, you’re going to have Chicken Pox,” she announced. Kurama
looked at her eyes widened. “Chicken Pox?” he asked, the nurse nodded
and starting to button up his clothes back. Kurama
fainted. The other nurses giggled and went out. After finish buttoning up
his clothes, the old nurse went out resuming her other works. All
the girls were practically crying. “Uwaa… Minamino-san is going to
have a loooong holiday! We can’t see him,” a girl cried. Shiori
rushed to Meiow High School and went to the school clinic. “Sumimasen,
watashi no musuko wa doko desu ka?” she asked at the nurse who was on
the counter. The nurse smiled and stood up. “Minamino-kun, desu
ne?” she asked for assurance. Shiori nodded. She
brought Shiori to her son. Kurama was getting worse by the hour. The red
spots on his skin was getting more visible. Shiori went nearer to her son
and held his hand. Kurama
woke up to see his mother smiling over him. “Kaasan,” he uttered
softly. “Shhh… kaasan wa koko ni imasu yo,” she said, running a hand
between those soft silky strands. “I’m very sick. Please take me home
and don’t allow anyone to see me…,” he requested. Shiori nodded, a
tear rolled off her cheek. It hurts her so much to see her son in misery. The
nurse helped them out and sighed. :… Minamino’s mother was sure as
sweet as her son …: She thought to herself. “Matte
Kudasai,” suddenly Kurama stopped when they were near the clinic door.
“Dooshite, Shuu-chan?” asked Shiori. “My bag, kaasan. I need to go
and get it,” he said, turning to go to his class. The nurse stopped him.
“Wait here. I’ll intercom the class and asked someone to bring it for
you,” she said and went inside to the counter. The
intercom rang in Kurama’s class. The class monitor who sits next to it
picked it up. “Moshi-moshi,” then he frowned, nodded and smiled. “Yoshi,”
then he hung up. “Anyone
wants to bring down Minamino-kun’s bag?” asked the monitor. Within one
second, all the girls in the class went over to Kurama’s place and took
his books and bag. Shiori
blinked as she saw a swarm of girls coming their way. They came and hand
Kurama his bag. “Minamino-kun, your bag!” they chirped. Shiori was
still blinking at them. “Doumo, minna-san. Doumo,” said Kurama taking
his bag and books. “Ki
o tsukette, Minamino-kun,” they chirped on last time before Kurama
turned to go home. They were still looking at him from the clinic door,
waving frantically once Kurama looked behind. “Who
are they?” asked Shiori when they were in safe range. “Em? My
classmates,” answered Kurama. Shiori frowned, then smiled. “Ah, it
looks like my boy is famous in school,” she said, heartily. Kurama
flashed her a smile. “You’ll have no problems finding a wife then,”
she added. “Kaasan,”
retorted Kurama weakly. Shiori chuckled and nodded. “Yoshi, yoshi,”
she said and went all the way home in Shiori’s car. As
soon as Kurama reached home, he was tucked into bed by Shiori. Then
she remembered. “Kyaa! You’re not suppose to be wearing anything! It’ll just make the spots worse!” remembered Shiori and
start tugging off her son’s shirt. “Kaasan, I could do it myself,”
said Kurama, slightly blushing. Shiori
smiled. “Okay, I’ll leave you alone for now. But I’ll bring lunch in
an hour,” she said and left the room. Once she was gone, Kurama went to
his window and shut it tight. He slid the curtain so no one could see him
or come in from outside. Yuusuke
had phoned Kurama and found out that he had Chicken Pox from his mother.
He just couldn’t stop laughing. That night, when Kuwabara and Hiei came
for their normal meeting, Yuusuke told them the Kurama couldn’t come. “Kurama
can’t come? Why?” asked Kuwabara. Hiei was just quiet. “Well,
he’s having Chicken Pox now,” said Yuusuke and started cracking up.
Kuwabara blinked. “Nani?!” then he joined Yuusuke laughed. Hiei
knotted his brows together. :… What in the hell are these jerks laughing
so hard about? …: he wondered. Hiei
made a fake cough. Both Yuusuke and Kuwabara looked at him. When
he finally got their attention, he opened his mouth. “What’s a Chicken
Pox?” he asked. Yuusuke and Kuwabara looked at each other, then they
looked at Hiei, before Hiei could open his mouth, they went back cracking
their heads off. “Hey!
I asked you what’s a Chicken Pox?!” he demanded. Yuusuke and Kuwabara
slowed down. “It’s when you get red spots all over your body and
it’s very itchy. Then you’ll get funny looking and…,” Yuusuke
can’t finish his sentence. He went back cracking up. “And…?”
Hiei demanded, still. “And he can’t see anyone for three weeks!”
continued Kuwabara. Hiei frowned. “Why?” Kuwabara smiled at Hiei.
“Because he’ll be too ugly to look at,” he reasoned. Yuusuke elbowed
Kuwabara’s gut. “No Hiei, it’s because you’ll get infected too,”
covered Yuusuke, even though the first fact was true. Hiei
disappeared in the thin air. Yuusuke and Kuwabara shrugged and continued
laughing at the poor Kurama. Hiei
went over Kurama’s house and went up the tree. Kurama’s window was
locked and the curtain was shut. He knocked on it. “Kurama?” he
called. Kurama widened his eyes. His spots had worsened since this
morning. And Hiei would be the last person he wanted to be seen by, now.
He just kept quiet and act as if he didn’t heard it. Hiei
kept pounding on the window. He could feel Kurama’s youki inside. Not
sleeping, but he seemed not too good. His youki was mixed with something
else. So,
Hiei went to the front door. He knocked. “Iku yo!” shouted Shiori from
inside. A few moments later, she opened the door. Hiei looked up at the
ningen women, smiling sweetly as always. “Ah, Hiei-kun… ohairi, ohairi…,”
she pulled the boy gently in. Hiei blinked and let out a small sigh. Mr.
Hatanaka looked up from the paper. He smiled at Hiei. “Shuuichi
no tomodachi ka?” he asked. Hiei nodded once and was pushed gently to
sit on the couch in front of Mr. Hatanaka as Shiori went to the kitchen to
make tea. :… Hey, I’m here to see Kurama! …: he shouted internally. “You
do know that Shuuichi has Chicken Pox, don’t you?” asked Mr. Hatanaka.
Hiei nodded. “Have you had one?” asked Mr. Hatanaka. :… had one?
I don’t even knew what the hell it is …: Hiei snapped mentally. But he
just shook his head. Mr.
Hatanaka put down his paper. “Then it would be dangerous to go and see
him now. You’ll probably get infected,” he told Hiei. :… So the
infected part was true …: thought Hiei. “Daijobu,” said Hiei, he was
being unbelievably polite tonight. Shiori
put down the tea and smiled at Hiei. “I’ll see if he wants to see you,
ok?” she said, disappearing to Kurama’s room. :… He will see me. I
don’t care …: snorted Hiei inwardly. “Boy,
how old are you?” asked Mr. Hatanaka. :… What? Now I’m being
questioned for being here? …: “16,” lied Hiei. Mr. Hatanaka nodded. Shuuichi
was also the same age as this boy, but much, much more taller. “Shuu-chan,
Hiei is here to see you,” said Shiori. :… What? He even entered using
the front door? …: sighed Kurama. “I don’t want to see him, kaasan.
I don’t want to see anyone! I look disgusting!” said Kurama from
inside. Kaasan
had given him a bottle of Calamine lotion and he was dabbing it all over
himself using a cotton-ball. It was too itchy to resist. At least the
Calamine lotion cooled it off a bit. He was all pink and white now. Shiori
came back with a sullen face. “Gomen ne, Hiei-san. He just doesn’t
want to see anyone,” she told Hiei. Hiei knotted his brows. What else he
could do to make the kitsune see him. Or was it he wanted to see the
kitsune? “Em…
can you tell him that I’m going back to see Mukuro? Today is my last
day,” he told Shiori. She nodded and went back. “Shuu-chan.
Hiei-san is leaving. He said he was going back to see Mukuro tomorrow,”
said Shiori. Kurama stood up upon hearing that. He quickly opened the
door. Peeping out his head from behind the door. Shiori
put a hand on her son’s hair. “Shuu-chan… kawaii-so,” she sighed. Kurama
smiled wearily. “Hiei-san,”
she called. Hiei instantly jumped up to his feet and went over to
Kurama’s room. Upon seeing Hiei, Kurama hid behind the door. Shiori left
them to be alone. “Go
away Hiei,” he told the koorime behind the ajar door. “No,” insisted
the stubborn koorime. “You don’t want to see me now. I look
horrible,” he said, keep dabbing Calamine lotion on himself. From top to
bottom. “I
am not going,” Hiei told the kitsune and gave the door a slight push.
Kurama toppled over and nearly dropped his bottle of calamine lotion.
“Damn, Hiei,” he uttered, crouching behind the door with his back to
the world. Hiei went in and locked the door. He
looked at Kurama, he had his hair tied up into a high ponytail. His
body was stained with whitish stuff. And he was naked. Hiei frowned. “Why are you hiding like that?” he asked. “I look
horrible Hiei, go away!” said Kurama. Hiei was pure youkai and a youkais
won’t get infected with these puny ningen diseases. He
went over to the crouched youko and sat behind him. He wrapped his arms
around Kurama and leaned on his back. “I really wished that I wasn’t
having this, you know?” he said, sound muffled by his own sobs. Hiei
felt bad. Kurama looked like he was suffering and he couldn’t do
anything to soothe his kitsune. He ran his hands lightly over Kurama’s
back, trying in his own way to soothe that youko. But Kurama felt even
worse. “Stop Hiei. You’re making it itchier,” said Kurama. “Scratch
then,” suggested Hiei. “That’ll leave a permanent scar on me,”
Kurama told Hiei. Hiei was silent. He just leaned on Kurama’s back. The heat between them was making his body itch. “Hiei, get
off me. The heat is making me feel very itchy,” Kurama told the koorime
off. Hiei
raised his head and moved around to the front, facing the kitsune.
Kurama’s face was hidden behind his red hair. “Ano, you have spots on
your face too,” he commented. “I am aware of that, Hiei,” said
Kurama, irritatingly. “Why do you have to geddit? Why don’t that
stupid big oaf geddit?” asked Hiei. “I don’t know Hiei. I don’t
know!” Kurama started to throw a fit. Suddenly
he felt itchy and quickly dabbed the Calamine lotion on himself. Hiei
watched this and frowned. :… I could do that …: he told himself.
He took the bottle away from Kurama and copied what Kurama did. He
dabbed the moistened cotton-ball on Kurama. “It’s
easier if you go and lie on your bed,” suggested Hiei and pulled
Kurama’s hair. Kurama went over to his bed and slumped heavily on the
futon. Hiei
dabbed the lotion on his back gently. From top to bottom. “Turn
over,” then he ordered. Kurama turned and pulled the blanket up to his
waist. Hiei looked up at Kurama annoyingly. But he kept dabbing the lotion
on him with new cotton-balls. When it came to his waist, Hiei just flicked
the blanket away. “Kitsune no baka,” he snorted. “You
said you were going to see Mukuro tomorrow, when are you going to come
back?” asked Kurama, biting his lower lip as Hiei applied the lotion
between his thighs. “I am not going anywhere. I figured that if I
didn’t say that, you wouldn’t let me in,” confessed Hiei. “I hate
you,” uttered Kurama. “Yes, of course you do,” said Hiei
sarcastically. Three
weeks passed by… Hiei
took care of Kurama everyday. Shiori was relieved that someone was around
to help her take care of her beloved Shuuichi. And she was happy that her
Shuuichi doesn’t have to be lonely. Kurama
got dressed in a pair of pants and looked at Hiei. “I still have
spots,” he told his koorime as he hugged Hiei. Hiei leaned on Kurama’s
chest and thought for a while. “Why don’t you change into youko form.
Then concentrate your youki to heal the spots,” he suggested. Kurama
smiled. “You are so brilliant, botchan,” Kurama kissed his koorime and
stood up. He
changed into youko form. He blinked at himself. “Yuck, I look like a
frog,” he said. Hiei just looked at the tall youko. He seldom talked
when Kurama was in this state. He just didn’t felt too good about it. Youko
Kurama closed his eyes and concentrated his youki. He curled up his fist
and a creepy aura filled the room. Youko Kurama got shiningly bright and
then it was all gone. The mist cleared off and a red haired Shuuichi
Minamino came back, sitting beside a yawning koorime. Kurama
looked at himself. All the spots really disappeared. “Doumo Hiei,” he
thanked his lover and kissed Hiei lightly. Hiei snorted. Suddenly
Kurama pushed Hiei on the futon. “I’ve been waiting for three weeks
for this,” he said mischievously. Hiei’s big almond eyes just blinked
and licked Kurama’s nose. “Your kaasan is coming,” he told Kurama.
Kurama quickly jumped off Hiei and a moment later, a knock was heard. “Shuu-chan,
your friends are here,” she called. “Coming kaasan,” said Kurama
pulling Hiei along. Yuusuke,
Kuwabara, Yukina, Koenma, Botan, Keiko, Kirishima and a few more other
people came. “Yo Kurama! You’re all okay!” shouted Kuwabara, patting
at Kurama’s shoulder. Kurama nodded. “Hiei-san
took care of Shuuichi the whole of three weeks,” said Shiori proud that
her son has a good friend like Hiei. “Waah Hiei, you took care of Kurama?”
asked Yuusuke. Hiei snorted. “Hn,” he uttered under his breath.
Anyway, everyone could see that Hiei was blushing. Shiori had cooked something for everyone to eat. And Kurama took a plate of mochi to Hiei. “This is for the one who took care of me,” he winked at Hiei. :… You are such a damn flirt …: snorted Hiei and took the plate.
