"Where is Kurai?"  Fuyu demanded angrily.  They were there to conquer makai once it was thrown into chaos.  Fuyu had done his hard work.  He had reason to be upset at Kurai's absence, after all his hard work.  He had to practically jump from one bed to another to attain their goal.  He expected at least that Kurai would pay him a visit, keep him company for a while.

"The master is busy with someone right now?"  One of Kurai's low ranking official reported.

"Busy?  Busy with whom?"  Fuyu asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's the redhead we abducted."

Fuyu cursed very softly.  He was mad.  Mad at Kurai for forsaking their meeting just for a certain human prisoner.  His mind concocted erotic images of his lover and the redhead, Kurama.  Fuyu's face became savage, the irony of the situation hitting home.  Here he was assuming Kurama's place, using every trick he had learned from the many youkos he had had sexual relations with, every skill in the bedroom, every goddamn sweat to lure the most powerful youkais in the makai. Not knowing that the real Kurama was on home camp possibly enticing his own lover into complete submission.  What if Kurai decides to dump him for the real redhead?  Fuyu was beautiful himself.  He had straight, long, ebony hair, thick lashes adorning his gray eyes and a sensuous mouth.  But he had to admit that he was pale in contrast to Kurama's more colorful appearance.  Even Fuyu himself had marveled at the redhead's perfection.  Wondering why in the worlds Kurama was not born female.  He narrowed his eyes at one of Kurai's numerous lieutenants.

"Tell Kurai I need to see him and prepare the men.  Makai is about to go into war."

The fire demon flitted swiftly from tree to tree in a blink of an eye.  He was coming very near his prey.  He had decided to himself that he wanted nothing more in his youkai life save Kurama.  Yomi was not going to get him for himself.  He thought all those times that what he felt for Mukuro was love, but now he knew it wasn't the case.  His regard for Mukuro was rooted on friendship and for the redhead it was more on passion, possession and if Kurama would allow him, eternal companionship.  Companionship between two people who had gone beyond mere friendship.  If he had Kurama, but Yom--the fire demon strengthened his resolve.  Yomi was going to die.
