Day after day

Time passes away

And I just can't get you off my mind

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hiei gazed down from a tree at the gang enjoying a rare picnic.  The fire demon's eyes were riveted to a tall young man with red hair.  Kurama glanced up at the fire demon, but Hiei had turned his face away.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nobody knows

I hide it inside

Keep on searching but I can't find

The courage to letting you know

I've never felt so much love before

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fire demon looked on as Kurama entered the school premises.  A dozen girls and few boys quickly crowded the redhead.  The fire demon clenched his fists.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And once again

I'm thinking about

Taking the easy way out

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fire youkai cursed.  Damn the fox!  Why did he have to have so many admirers?  He didn't like that.  Maybe he should just forget his feelings for the redhead.  Hiei opened a portal back to the makai.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But if I let you go

I will never know

What my life would be

Holding you close to me

Will I ever see you smiling back at me

How will I know

If I let you go

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fire demon dropped down wearily on a makai tree and tried very hard to erase Kurama's features from his mind.  Those beautiful, gorgeous eyes, the silky, soft hair he'd been wanting to touch, the taste of those sultry lips he'd been craving to kiss.  Kisama!  It was not working.  He wanted Kurama!
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Night after night

I hear myself say

Why can't this feeling just fade away

There's no one like you

You speak to my heart

It's such a shame we're worlds apart

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hiei covered his face in frustration.  He couldn't sleep.  Every time he closed his eyelids the vision of the enticing fox crept into his dreams, immersed him in a warm, passionate embrace only to leave him cold and alone once he awakened.  Reluctantly, the fire youkai re-entered the gates of the ningenkai.  All the doubts, worries, and love he felt threatening to overwhelm his newly awakened youkai heart
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm too shy to ask

I'm too proud to lose

But sooner or later I gotta choose

And once again I'm thinking about

Taking the easy way out

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kurama knew that Hiei was once again in the ningenkai, particularly at a tree just above his bedroom window and he sighed.  When will the fire demon finally admit to his feelings?  He knew that Hiei was new to the affairs of the heart, but that was not the reason for Hiei's reluctance.  The fire demon was too shy and too proud at the same time.  He guessed that Hiei had never courted anyone and the fire youkai was afraid to lose before he even started.  A determined glint entered the redhead's emerald eyes.  Tonight was the night.  He could not imagine his life without that frustrating fire youkai.  He would never let him escape from his clutches.  Swiftly the fox spirit jumped down his window, startling a daydreaming fire demon.  Kurama gazed up determinedly at the fire youkai before reaching out his hands to bring the fire youkai to his arms.  The surprised fire demon hadn't even been able to say a single yelp and Kurama had sealed their lips together in a deep kiss.  The fox spirit reluctantly ended the kiss and waited for Hiei to come around.  The fire demon smiled and pulled Kurama's face down to his.  The redhead grinned and obligingly began what was to be one of their hottest nights together.
