The redhead swallowed. He had missed all of them. He wanted to give all of them a hug, but Hiei.... "I'm glad you're here, Kurama. We need to talk to you." Yusuke said a bit uneasily. Kurama looked from one grim face to another. Fuyu. The kitsune shifted uneasily on his feet. He'd forgotten. Kurai had told him that Fuyu was... Oh Inari. The redhead groaned and covered his face. Yomi came near him and grabbed the slender shoulders roughly. "Why did you do it, Kurama? Why?" Yomi asked angrily. "It wasn't me...." Kurama began. "What was it then? The full moon. Is your libido a little too much for you? Yomi asked bitingly. The redhead's face flushed with embarrassment and a little anger. How dare he, but then he figured that Fuyu must have done something to anger the blind youkai. But what had Fuyu done exactly? "What have I done to you, Yomi?" Kurama asked in his soft alto voice and placed a comforting hand on Yomi's shoulder If anything, the makai lord just got more incensed at Kurama's very collected manner and calm words. Yomi pushed the redhead roughly away from him. "Don't touch me!" Yomi spat. The redhead paled and dropped his hand to his side. He gave Yomi a very serious look. "I'm telling you, it wasn't me. Another youkai had taken my place and...." "Save it!" Hiei cut in. Kurama stared in hurt shock at the fire youkai. How the fire demon loved to hurt him and Hiei had hurt him badly in the past. Was he ever going change? "You told me that you are going to bond with Yomi. Was that true?" Hiei asked harshly. Yusuke shifted uneasily. He knew he was part of this mess, but he didn't want Kurama cornered like this. But then again, he had never taken his relationship with Kurama seriously. Unlike the two youkais, who were ready to tear each other to fight for the redhead. Kurama had gasped and stared at Yomi's inscrutable face. The kitsune bit his lip. Damn that Fuyu! He had manipulated blind youkai's feelings heartlessly. He remembered how caring and attentive Yomi was to him when they attended Mukuro's burial ceremony. But he could never love Yomi that way. What was he going to say now? He knew it was impossible to claim that he had been abducted and replaced by a shape shifter. He needed solid proof for that. He had to bring Fuyu to them. But how was he going to escape from this impromptu interrogation? "I-I'm sorry." It was all the kitsune could say and reeled as Yomi hit him hard on the face. "Y-Yomi...." Kurama stared incredulously at his friend. Yomi would never hurt him. Yusuke had gone in front of the redhead. "Do that again, Yomi!" the young man challenged the blind makai lord. Hiei had grabbed Yomi's hand in a very tight grip. The ruby eyes were blazing with anger. "If you touch him again...." The fire demon hissed. Yomi pushed Hiei's hand away roughly. "Stay away from me, Kurama." Yomi said weakly. He stared sorrowfully at Kurama's bleeding mouth. "I-I'm sorry. Please, stay away from me." The blind youkai repeated as he turned his back. "Y-Yomi...." Kurama whispered in agony. He was torn between anger and understanding. How could he blame Yomi? It was never his fault. It was all because of him. If he had prevented his own abduction. He should have tried his best to get out of the makai dimension as swiftly as he could. Now his friends were suffering. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Kurama whispered and turned to go. "W-where are you going?" Yusuke tried to detain the redhead. "I--I have some unfinished business." Kurama said roughly, emerald eyes blazing very coldly. "Kurama, don't go!" Yusuke gave the fire demon a desperate glance, but Hiei just flitted away. Yusuke felt his heart breaking. He watched the redhead's fast disappearing back. He felt like they had lost something they had just found and lost it again.
