Kurama leaned against a makai tree.  A deep scowl marred the lovely face.  He had never seen such anger before in Hiei's and Yomi's faces.  The fire demon acted like he wished the kitsune would just disappear and die.  Kurama felt the sharp sting of tears on his eyelids and sniffed, trying to control his emotions.  So, this was how it felt to be betrayed.  I trusted you, Hiei, but you could never be trusted.

"Kurama?"

The redhead brushed the tears on his eyes roughly as Keshiki moved toward him.

"Y-you're back, so quickly."  Kurama said faintly as Keshiki tenderly held his face.

"You have blood on your mouth."  Keshiki whispered alarmingly.  Kurama hurriedly wiped it off.

"Who did this?"  Keshiki asked dangerously.

"I-I encountered a youkai on the way here."  Kurama lied.

Keshiki brushed the kitsune's hair softly.

"Kurama, you should always be careful."  The blue-eyed bishounen sighed and hugged the redhead tightly.

Kurama closed his eyes and surrendered to the tender gesture.

Keshiki grasped him chin and kissed him passionately.    He had missed the redhead so much.  He couldn't wait to have Kurama in his arms.

Kurama pushed gently at Keshiki's chest.  The youkai released the youko and planted a kiss on top of his red mop.  Kurama cradled his face on Keshiki's chest.  The youkai made him feel so loved and so cared for.

"Keshiki?"

"Hmm?"  Keshiki asked absentmindedly.  He was busy kissing Kurama's neck.

"How do we find Fuyu?'

"He's still alive?"  Keshiki frowned concernedly.

"I think I have a plan."  Kurama said, the beginnings of a smile on his face.

You were too much, Yomi.  How could you do that to Kurama?"  Yusuke demanded angrily at the blind makai lord.

Yomi pressed his hands tiredly to his face.

"I said I was sorry.  Kurama's denial just made me so angry.  How can he pretend that he didn't know what he did?

Yusuke's face became grim.

"Maybe he was telling us the truth."  He murmured.  Kurama coming to them and seducing them was something out of character.  They had never thought about it because they wanted the kitsune so much.  But thinking about it now in a rational way.  Yusuke knew there was something awfully wrong with the whole scenario.

"He said something about a shape shifter...."

Yomi turned to the younger man.

"You believed that?"

Yusuke's brows furrowed.

"The Kurama I knew would and could never lie to me.  He was always honest with me.  No, he could never lie."  Yusuke said with growing conviction.

"You really think he was telling the truth?"  Yomi asked with a hopeful light on his face.

"A-huh."  Yusuke nodded vigorously.

"Then we've got to find him.  I know how reckless Kurama could be in the past when he was being pushed."  Yomi said with concern.

"I wonder where Hiei is."   Yusuke mumbled.
